Description: We made this trash more different than other trash cans. Other trashcans you step on the bottom and it opens, but our trashcan is different. We put a motor on the lid and connected the motor with wires to some buttons that we put on the bottom of the trashcan. One buttons opens it and the other closes it. We connected the motor to the lid with screws to make a bit tight so the lid could go up and down (open and close) and we made a small backpack with the wood so we could attach the motor to it so it could stay stable. We also cut out a piece of wood to put the buttons through so you could easily press them. We then finally printed out a minion and put it on the trash can so it looked like a minion.
An electric motor works with a switch, battery, and a motor. In order to make a motor go forward and backwards
Lever Wedge wheel pulley axle screw Our toy is really actually simple we have 2 buttons on the bottom that are connected to a motor. One button opens it and the other closes it. We tried hiding the wires inside the trash can and hide it with a plastic thing that came with the trash can for the bottom of it. The trash can operates with two 9V batteries, one for each button. And that is the gist of our trashcan.
Some of the challenges while making this toy was that we mostly got into fights with what we should add on the trashcan. Another challenge was that we had to think how we were going to build our toy since it hasn’t been made before so we had to think of ideas on how to make the trash can open and close with the motor. One last challenge was that we had to find out how we wire up the buttons so that one button opens and the other one closes.
There are some things that we would do differently if we were able to start the project again. First we would plan out most of how the trash can would look like and how we would hide and organize the wires. We would also try and decorate the minion a bit better.
